As we begin May the fiery Aries energy is still roaring strong. We have the Moon (emotions), Mercury (communication), Venus (love, relationship), Mars (courage, drive/anger), Jupiter (hope, opportunity/excessiveness), and Uranus (authenticity/rebellion) all in the sign of Aries.
Also on May 1st,, Mars In Aries will have just the day before fused in a conjunction with Jupiter in Aries until the 2nd providing that extra ounce of courage to claim new opportunities for growth. Then on the 2nd this conjunction loosens up and Mars moves away from Jupiter with speed.
The push from last month is still on and with all this Aries energy the strong potential continues for us to make decisions and get thing moving in a certain direction, or have that important conversation with a loved one that is long overdue, or finally gather your courage and take that leap of faith in beginning a new path that feels more genuine than in the past. However, there is also the strong potential to jump too quickly and find yourself in over your head, become highly frustrated in any situation, say things to a loved one or anyone for that matter in anger that may find regret as it’s home later, push your body to injury, or move too quickly and stub your toe.
Knowing the house that all these planets are moving through can help you understand which area of your life is receiving such a strong influx of energy, and is being cosmically signaled for activation at this time in many ways.
Stay alert, enjoy this time of passion, drive, and courageous action, and know that starting with Mars on the 11th most of these planets will begin to move into earthy Taurus, slowing down the energy and giving everyone a bit of a breather and a chance to look at and see what we’ve started…
MARS CONJUNCTS TAURUS
So on the 11th Mars does move into the more grounded and stable sign of Taurus. This aligns Mars, which is drive and action oriented to find a more secure and stable framework for new decisions and beginnings made while in Aries. Now because there is this slowing down in Taurus, Mars can get a bit impatient and Taurus can become stubborn and dig in when pushed too fast. But know that the determination and passion of Mars combined with the careful planning and determination of Taurus can lead to solid accomplishments.
VENUS AND MERCURY CONJUNCT JUPITER
Also on May 11th Mercury and Venus in Aries make a one day conjunction with Jupiter in Aries. When Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter come together we have a mixture of communication, love, and hope all seeking courage, action, passion. This creates the opportunity for a day of open conversations about what and who and how we love; our hopes and dreams and desires to grow. It can also open up new ideas and opportunities for work that we love and have a passion for and help us to claim them.
Be aware there is also the potential with this planetary combination for communication in love and relationships to move so fast we may say something we’re not completely ready to say, or sure we mean; or communications can become heated and words taken to excess in damaging ways.
MERCURY AND VENUS CONJUNCT TAURUS
On May 15th Mercury and Venus will both move into the sign of Taurus slowing down communications and the forming of relationships. This cautious Taurus energy can set the stage for communication and connections that seek a slower, more calm, and stable expression than while in Aries. It can also provide the avenue for conversations that bring some grounding to new relationships that began last month in the beginning flurry of Aries energy, as well as heighten sensuality and love as Venus the Goddess of Love rules earthy sensual Taurus.
On the flip side this can indicate a day where normal communications and connections slow down so much they come to a standstill and shutdown. If this is the case, take a break and give it some time; then calmly begin again..
MERCURY AND VENUS CONJUNCT MARS
On May 20th Mercury will conjunct Mars in Taurus fusing thought and action, communication and passion all seeking calm stability, peace and understanding. With Mercury and Mars there can also be words with an edge that won’t listen or budge. When Taurus digs its heels...or I should say hooves in deep, not much can move them. Taurus strongly dislikes drama, so keep this in mind to support communication that is straight forward, not attacking.
And on May 23rd Venus will conjunct Mars in Taurus fusing love and passion in earthy sensual Taurus creating a day of memorable love that can bring stability and peace or a day where love and passion blows up and no one is talking.
NEPTUNE IN PISCES
Neptune has been in Pisces for a short time now and wherever Neptune is moving through your chart it will bring inspiration into that area of life; it will also at times bring foggy confusion and misunderstanding to that area of life. There will be a doorway for higher guidance and a strengthening of deep intuition even if you’ve not tuned into that before; Neptune in its natural sign of Pisces heightens that kind of sensitivity. It also can heighten the desire to escape into some kind of behavior that helps you tune out the world.
This is a time for all of us where some type of meditation or meditative experience can be helpful to connect within and allow the whispers of higher guidance to reach us. A time where we can begin to truly feel our connection to each other as we move into a time of great awakening…
